Here are a couple of food reviews about the Oaktree station, to get you started for the 2024 – 2025 school year and summer. We will have more food reviews next year, so stay tuned for Titan Tribune 2024-2025! Also, on behalf of our newspaper staff – have a great summer.

The Cravery
Food quality 8/10
Customer Service 8/10
Wait time 7/10
Price $

The Cravery is known for its smash burgers and its unique sauces; such as teriyaki mayo, spicy mayo, and crave sauce (their take on a Thousand Island sauce). But, if you’re just looking for some good fries – The Cravery is where it’s at. Their curly fries (for $4) are crispy and filled with flavor. Also, they have a dessert that might be the perfect summer treat: sweet potato waffle fries smothered in cinnamon sugar and a cheesy sweet cream. Either way, if you’re “craving” some burgers and hot dogs, the Cravery is the perfect spot. Their wait time depends on how busy they are – if the line is short you should be out of there in around 5-10 minutes. The food truck is perfect for a quick lunch break. While their menu is typically upward of around $10 they are home to probably the cheapest meal at Oak Tree Station – their $6 hot dog that is cooked to perfection on a grilled big fluffy bun with whichever toppings and sauces you want.

Red Lead Organic Coffee isn’t exactly a food truck, it’s a cute little coffee shop on the front of Oaktree Station. Most of the time they have the walk-up option open, but they also have a nice drive-thru – for your morning coffee run. They have all kinds of drinks – matcha lattes, smoothies, energy drinks, and more. They even have arctic blended drinks, the cold version of your typical go-to drink to cool you off. To add, for vegans, non-dairy, and gluten-free people, they have 5 kinds of different plant-milk options and gluten-free banana bread. They also have breakfast sandwiches and a variety of desserts. (Including their petit cheesecakes – a perfect serving for 2 or 1).

Wasabi Sushi

Food Quality 9/10

Wasabi Sushi is home to the sushi burrito, normal sushi rolls, yummy rice bowls, and the savory sushi donut. In addition, they have several dessert options. Because of their lovely menu, there’s almost always a line. Also, since everything is freshly made it takes a while to get your food. So, when it comes to a quick meal, Wasabi Sushi might be risky. Otherwise, they have really great food for around $15 per meal or so.

Bobalistic

Bobalistic is one of the more known food trucks, it’s kind of like a ShareTea on wheels. Here you can get yourself some spam musubi, rice bowls, chocolate-dipped bananas, and their famous drinks. You can get tea, lemonade, and more, with toppings like Boba, mango jelly, and more.

This food cart has all the Thai food to keep you happy and full. From their curry to chef specials they have a variety of options that also range in spice range. The price here is a little more – but you get a lot of food; ranging from 10 to 15 bucks per entrée. If you are looking for a quick lunch the appetizers, soup, and drinks are both on the cheaper side and have a smaller wait time. Also, if you have a smaller appetite, the main meals have enough for a round of leftovers or to share. Overall, the food is spectacular and the perfect warm delight to a day.
