With the 24-25 school year coming to a close, the Union Art Club has made great progress on the club mural. This was the second year in which the mural was worked on, and a lot of amazing work has been painted by both old and new artists. Art Club members have been hard at work all year, coming in after school, during lunch, and even before school to paint. The mural is in the U-Connect Room in the 500s.
If you don’t already know what the Club Mural is, it’s a mural meant to connect all student groups, clubs, and sports on campus. Each puzzle piece represents a different group and is painted by a different artist, which allows the whole mural to be a mosaic of different art styles and clubs. Some pieces are still in the works while others are completed. The Club Mural symbolizes the community and connection here at Union.
Art Club is always looking for new artists to represent their own groups or clubs on the mural. Many puzzle pieces remain empty, and many clubs are yet to be painted on the mural. If you’re interested in having your club on the wall or working on the mural itself, reach out to Art Club on instagram at @artclub.uhs. Check out some of Art Club’s gorgeous work, and keep on the lookout for next year’s update!
